The Project

Our client was extending the back of their Victorian terraced house to create a large, light-filled family kitchen and dining room with ancilliary utility and cloakroom as well as opening up access to the rear reception room.
We were asked to help design and specify the kitchen and fixtures for this new space.

An overview

Working closely with our client to ensure both functionality and aesthetic were considered in equal measure, whilst all the time giving consideration to the budget, we designed a Shaker kitchen and gave it a contemporary feel by adding square framed stainless steel handles, dual coloured units in light grey and dark blue, subtle veined white quartz surfaces, rounded off with modern brushed steel appliances.

The details

The client wanted to incorporate copper into the design. Copper accents were added through the bar stools and accessories to bring warmth and add contrast to the scheme.
We ensured there was ample storage and set the layout to suit the clients requirements.
Full height open shelving was included to store frequently used small appliances and display decorative items, photographs, and the kids creative pieces made at school.
A large flat screen was planned in for the boys with plenty of USB sockets for charging devices in this tech-savvy family.

Parker Grove designed my kitchen. They asked me questions about what was important to me. They looked at zones and areas of use and made sure there was plenty of storage. They helped me visualise and bring ideas to life. Small touches and recommendations made all the difference.
