Darras Road – Darras Hall – Design Only Service for re-model of kitchen, dining, family room

The Project

Our client needed plans drawing for a complete re-model of the rear portion of the ground floor of their home.
We provided plans, elevations, 3D visuals, with a scope of works, for their Builder to implement.

An overview

This 1930s semi-detached house had been extended and altered over time in an ad-hoc manner which left the ground floor as a collection of awkward spaces.
The owners had small children and wanted to create a large, social, open plan family space incorporating a kitchen, dining, and sitting room.
The large double garage was under-utilised and a utility room and cloakroom sat between the garage and the existing kitchen creating an L-shaped kitchen diner with a narrow space to walk past the dining table into the kitchen.
We proposed knocking through to the existing utility and cloakroom and squaring off the rear open plan space.
The utility and cloakroom were then relocated to within the garage.

The details

We created a social eating and cooking space, nesting a large square dining table into the end of the island with banquette seating.
The client's existing kitchen units were repurposed and added to as part of the re-model to keep costs down.
A space saving sliding barn door was used for access to the new utility area and cloakroom.
