About Us

The practice

Established in 2019, Parker Grove is an interior design studio based in Newcastle upon Tyne, working with clients across The North of England and Southern Scotland.

As an Associate of the British Institute of Interior Design we provide verified services from the UK’s only professional body for interior designers.

Featured on home design social platform, HouzzUK, the practice has been awarded “Best of Houzz Service” for the last three years running.

Our comprehensive service can cover everything to do with a home design project and includes interior design, extension design, interior architecture for space planning, technical drawings for lighting and joinery, furniture and soft furnishings specification, purchasing, project management and styling.

The studio is based in the old Sinclair’s Cooperage, a historic 18th century Grade II listed building in the ward of Ouseburn.
We’re conveniently located in Newcastle upon Tyne on City Road, just off the A167 55 Degrees North roundabout.

Our ethos

At Parker Grove, we’re here to help you create a truly individual interior that will be your sanctuary and reflect your unique taste and personality.

Value and quality encompass everything we do, from our service and attention to detail, to the furniture and finishes we choose and supply.

We design for real interiors for busy people who want a comforting and welcoming space.

To ensure your new place will work for you, we really get to know you and your requirements, listening carefully to how you would like to use the space, and the look and feel you wish to achieve.

People spend most of their time indoors, which is why we believe design starts with the interior, before thinking about the architecture or building work.

We really immerse ourselves in how your space could be used and experienced, which, more often than not, results in design changes to the fabric of a building, be that moving a wall, changing the size of a window or completely re-imagining the layout.

How we work

We’re adept at handling all aspects of the design process from the ground up.

We offer two different design services based on what kind of project you’re planning – Design Only or Full Service.

Design Only is for when you’d like us to produce designs and specifications for your project and hand over to you for the ordering, receiving deliveries, and implementing of the designs.

Full Design is a turn-key service where we design, furnish, purchase items, manage the programme, and oversee installation for the interior fit-out.

Designs are provided as floor plans and elevations in 2D, 3D CAD visuals, inspiration moodboards, and design boards for specifications of colour schemes, furniture and fixtures.

For our Full Service supplied items, we can value engineer and deliver quality, dealing direct with our network of carefully curated trade only suppliers.

Design Only Clients will receive designs and specifications sourced from online and high street retailers ready for them to order.

We believe a designer should save a client money. It will rarely cost more to commission a professionally qualified Accredited designer for a home than it would to ‘do it yourself’.

When working with your builder or Architect, Parker Grove always maintains an accessible design process and hands-on project management supervision, providing technical drawings and specifications for structural changes, fixtures, joinery and electrical elements, dealing with the numerous queries that crop up, and communicating design intentions on your behalf.
